Steam have recently released a new client for their users to opt in and test, boasting a heap of new functionality for managing friends as well as cometic interface improvements. However, files with macoOSX identifiers have been found in the new beta client which is indicative that we could possibly be seeing a launch of steam for mac users. Big news definately, we will have to wait and see.
Steam on a Mac is useless unless they are also porting all/some/one?! of the games to MacOS also, as far as I can tell there aren’t many games on steam which run on a Mac.
Agreed, but it’s a step in the right direction.
Steam being one of the largest distributors in the world for games it is a positive sign for Apple getting their foot in the door for gaming desktops.
